It is accompanied by his colleague from the Ministry of Culture, Minister of State, Michel MENGA M'ESSONE and donors including the African Development Bank (ADB) and the French Development Agency (AFD) that Mr Hugues MBADINGA MADIYA, Minister of Trade, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Industry who attended the presentation of the sanctioned work of the Crafts Task Force, this Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at the Libreville Chamber of Commerce. Eight (08) major axes now frame the sector revitalization strategy in Gabon. The objective is to strengthen the economic model of artisans. Thus, after an in-depth diagnosis of the ailments that undermine the said sector, the following points were retained for the arrangement of the working and living conditions of artisans. Namely improvement of the legal framework, access to financing, marketing, training, structuring, promotion and protection of products and services. Craftsmen are now invited to take ownership of this tool made available to them in order to participate as well, and in the best possible way to revive the national economy. As a reminder, on August 17, the Minister in charge of Handicrafts invited the actors of the sector to a deep reflection on the problems encountered on a daily basis. Technical and administrative commissions had thus been set up. As for the works, they had started some two weeks ago.
